The music of Sir Elton John will be celebrated with a star-studded affair when the Recording Academy, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and CBS host the Elton John: I’m Still Standing-A GRAMMY Salute. Filmed two days after the 60th annual GRAMMY Awards, the event will showcase the legendary performer’s biggest and most iconic songs from his decadeslong career.

Joining the lineup to perform some of John’s biggest hits will be two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Miranda Lambert, GRAMMY winner and current nominee Maren Morris, four-time GRAMMY winner Keith Urban, two-time GRAMMY winners and current nominees Little Big Town, GRAMMY nominee Miley Cyrus, current GRAMMY nominee Kesha, 10-time GRAMMY winner John Legend, seven-time GRAMMY winner Chris Martin, and four-time GRAMMY winner Sam Smith.

“Sir Elton John is an international music legend who has captivated audiences across generations for more than five decades,” said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of the Recording Academy, in a press release. “His creativity, dynamic presence, and melodic virtuosity have positioned him as a cultural icon, and the Recording Academy is pleased to honor his immeasurable contributions to the music community.”

“Elton John is an undeniable force within the music industry, and I can’t think of a better musician to honor at this special GRAMMY Salute,” added Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of AEG Ehrlich Ventures. “We’re proud to pay tribute to his artistry, and can’t wait to see what the participating musicians have in store for this momentous celebration of Elton’s work.”

This isn’t the first time Little Big Town and Keith Urban have participated in a GRAMMY tribute concert. The two acts previously performed in Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees in 2016.

Elton John: I’m Still Standing-A GRAMMY Salute will be taped on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at 8 p.m. ET at The Theater At Madison Square Garden in New York and will air on CBS later in the year. Tickets for the event go on sale Dec. 18, 2017, at 12 p.m. ET and are available for purchase at ticketmaster.com.
