“Record Year,” the second single off Eric Church’s latest album, Mr. Misunderstood, has reached the top of both the MediaBase and Billboard charts, marking the superstar’s seventh trip to the top of the charts.

“Record Year” was written by Church alongside his guitarist/banjo player, Jeff Hyde, who also penned “Cold One” with Luke Hutton, “Springsteen” with Ryan Tyndell, and “Smoke A Little Smoke” with Driver Williams.

The news comes just before Church prepares to headline two sold-out shows at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Aug. 9. Before his Red Rocks shows, fans can also catch Church at WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, MI (Aug. 4) and Watershed Festival in Quincy, WA (Aug. 6).
