Here’s Everything We Know About the 51st Annual CMA Awards
The CMA Awards are officially over the hill with its 51st annual celebration slated for November 8. The show, which will celebrate the best in country music throughout the past year, brings out everyone who’s anyone in the genre for a night of music like no other.
In addition to recognizing the night’s honorees, the show will also include some of the best live performances the CMA Awards has ever seen! With pairings like Kelsea Ballerini and Reba to Maren Morris and Niall Horan, and even a performance slot for P!nk, the 51st annual CMA Awards will likely be a night fans and artists won’t soon forget.
Before the big night begins, here’s a rundown of everything you need to know about the 51st Annual CMA Awards…
The Hosts: Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are back for their tenth anniversary as CMA Awards hosts! We cannot wait to see what they come up with for their always hilarious opening monologue. Paisley also shared that the duo will honor the victims of the Las Vegas shooting and we have no doubt they will do it in a classy and memorable way.
The Performers: The three-hour broadcast will feature performances by Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks, Brothers Osborne, Eric Church, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Alan Jackson, Jon Pardi, Chris Stapleton, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Thomas Rhett, as well as collaborations featuring Kelsea Ballerini and Reba, Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts, Maren Morris and Niall Horan, and Brad Paisley and Kane Brown. In addition, pop superstar P!nk will perform and Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and Darius Rucker will kick-off the show with a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration.
The Presenters: The following celebrities are confirmed to present during the star-studded show: Country superstar Trisha Yearwood, New Artist of the Year nominees Lauren Alaina, Luke Combs and Brett Young, radio personality Bobby Bones, NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, model and Kode With Klossy founder Karlie Kloss, Dustin Lynch, actress Lea Michele of ABC’s The Mayor, The Path actress Michelle Monaghan, actor, director and author Tyler Perry, stars of ABC’s Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, Jason Ritter and JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Pitch Perfect 3 actresses Ruby Rose and Brittany Snow.
Most anticipated moments: As always, we can’t wait to see what Paisley and Underwood have in store for their opening monologue. Additionally, we’re looking forward to the power-packed collaborations. Kelsea Ballerini and Reba, Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts, Maren Morris and Niall Horan, and Brad Paisley and Kane Brown will make for some unforgettable moments throughout the night.
Winners: We’re looking forward to seeing who will take home the night’s top prizes! This year’s top nominee is Miranda Lambert, who racked in five nominations, including a Album of the Year nod for her double album, The Weight of These Wings. Following closely with four nominations each are Little Big Town and Keith Urban.
The 51st Annual CMA Awards will air live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, November 8, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
