With the wheels up and the band on the road, Drake White has officially made his first stop on his ‘#LivintheDream By Giving the Dream’ journey.

White has taken a different approach to touring by partnering up with Ford Motor Company Fund to help out families in need in certain cities on his tour schedule. The first stop along the way was in Hartford, Connecticut, where White dropped by Foodshare, a local food bank that benefits those who need help putting food on the table.

In the exclusive Sounds Like Nashville video, fans see the inside take on White’s visit and get a fresh look on how his small act of kindness can lead to a great gesture in the community.

“I think it’s important for me and the band to give back to these communities that we’re playing because they give so much to us,” he says in the video.

White also did what he knows best by playing a little acoustic rendition of his single, “Livin’ the Dream,” for the workers at the food bank.

His label, Big Machine Label Group, is known for the charitable support they provide to countless individuals. They have teamed up with Outnumber Hunger and Feeding America to help out others who are looking for a place to get a good, healthy meal when times are tough.
