Country star and recent CMT Awards winner Lauren Alaina is well known for her powerhouse vocals and bubbly personality, both of which were on full display during this year’s CMA Music Festival. The 22-year-old singer took part in the annual festival, where she not only participated in multiple performances and meetings with fans, but she also took part in events for great causes, much like the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game.

Sounds Like Nashville was with the Georgia native as she kicked off her Saturday morning (6/10) to participate in the game that brings together numerous country stars to help raise money for City of Hope, a not-for-profit clinical research center. Alaina stepped up to the plate with a smile on her face and love in her heart to help achieve what we all want… to someday ‘strike out cancer.’

After hitting her morning out of the park, Alaina arrived at the Universal Music Group’s Budweiser Dome for a special 360-degree performance for fans. The small, intimate venue was quickly filled by the former American Idol contestant’s powerful vocals as she sang tracks from her latest project.
