See Exclusive Photos From the Set of Marty Stuart’s ‘Time Don’t Wait’ Video

As an honorary member of the Lakota Sioux tribe, Marty Stuart recently paid tribute to the reservation and tribe with a black-and-white video shot on their gorgeous land for his song, “Time Don’t Wait.”

Filmed in South Dakota in an area known as the Badlands and Black Hills, the picturesque clip features Stuart and his band rocking out as glimpses of the traditional Native American culture flash across the screen. An old church and luscious farm land provide the scenic background for the performance shots of the clip, which also showcases Stuart interacting with members of the tribe.

The iconic entertainer is quite familiar with the land as he first visited the area on tour as a member of Johnny Cash’s band.

While on set, photographer Reid Long captured the poignant moments on the land on 35mm Widelux film. The photos, which can been seen exclusively on Sounds Like Nashville, depict what everyday life looks like on the reservation and what happened behind-the-scenes at the music video shoot. The waist-high golden grass and rocky canyon-like walls show off the simplistic landscape surrounding the tribe, in which they refer to as their home.

A five-time GRAMMY Award winner, Stuart is known for his Southern rock-country blend and reminds listeners of the traditional sounds of the past.

“Time Don’t Wait” is featured on Stuart’s 18th studio album, Way Out West. The record can be found in stores and online now.
