Country music far exceeds the original country from which it came. The ability to tell stories through song has expanded in a rapid pace to the far outskirts of the world, from the United Kingdom to Australia and even into the great white north of Canada.

From that expansion comes a fresh new band of brothers, calling themselves the Hunter Brothers. All farmers-turned hockey players-turned musicians, Luke, J.J., Ty, Brock and Dusty Hunter have formed a collective group with impressive harmonies to bring music to the masses.

Having released a full-length album in 2017, the brothers are excited for the next chapter in their growing careers and are moving forward with their latest single, a song called “Those Were The Nights.” The nostalgic, upbeat tune speaks to the essence of remembering where you came from and embracing the memories that will last a lifetime.

“It’s one of those songs that takes you back in time and really helps you remember the moments that you want to reflect on, the times that were positive, the times that may have shaped you to who you are today,” explained youngest brother Ty during a recent phone call with Sounds Like Nashville. “But also, the good times that you had, whether it was with high school buddies or when you were first falling in love, and that type of thing. Anybody can kind of place themselves into the song and think back to their own experiences.”

Celebrating their own experiences of growing up on a farm with their parents, the brothers decided to feature their homestead as an ode to their upbringing.

Peterborough!! Thank you so much for having us into your city tonight! We want to take a moment to say what an honour it was to be on tour with @highvalleyofficial and @shawnaustinmusic. We appreciate you guys more than you know. Ontario, you have been unbelievably welcoming every step of the way, and we so appreciate every fan, every venue rep, crew member, technician, + every person that made this tour a reality. We also want to express our appreciation for our electric guitar player, @chadgreziuk, who has been there for 4 years of shows, + our sound man Tim for taking care of business. (You don’t get enough credit for what you do behind the scenes.) . Tomorrow we are on our way home to Sk where we were #bornandraised to hop on the tractors and put the seed in the ground. But we can’t wait for the opportunity to see all of you again down the road! These were all nights to remember! #tour #countrymusic #ontario #thosewerethenights

“We had a few different ideas for this one and it was actually recorded in two different places,” Ty shared of the video. “And the reason being is it was still winter time, and in Saskatchewan, there’s only so many places that we could record where you didn’t see snow on the ground, and we wanted this to be a summer anthem. We put a bunch of our big New Holland tractors in a circle and sang the song, which was kind of cool because we were standing on the farm yard where we were born and raised here. It’s kind of cool that way because we were able to reflect on the song and its meaning while performing it.”
