Female Country Stars Sit Down for Music Roundtable for ‘Billboard’ Interview

Throughout the lengthy timeline of country music, women have stood strong in their sound and their personas. Their power has reigned supreme from generation to generation. In order to get down to the issues with some of the hottest new female country stars from the past couple years, Billboard arranged a roundtable interview for the ladies to discuss their views on the industry.

Featured artists in the conversational interview piece include Mickey Guyton, Aubrie Sellers, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Margo Price and Cam as they give their take on what they’ve seen throughout their time as a female country music singer. All of the controversies are covered, from Tomato-gate to sexism to even bullying.

While chatting with Billboard’s own Jewly Hight, the topic of politics arises and the group of well-educated and opinionated women gives their two cents about the 2016 presidential election. Rather than let the party differentials be the main point of conversation, they all give their two cents on where they stand in the midst of it, even considering the fact that a woman holds a nomination for the first time.

Flowing through the motions, the roundtable shares their open and honest opinions that some people may be afraid to hear. But thankfully for this group of women, they trust each other throughout the interview and use their voices in being truthful for every question asked.
