Florida Georgia Line is gearing up to release their third studio album, Dig Your Roots. To celebrate this milestone in their career, FGL’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard partnered with Pandora for a listening party in Nashville to give a preview of what’s to come in their next chapter.

“We’re digging our roots this year, there’s no better name we can call it,” Hubbard tells Sounds Like Nashville and other media. “It was obvious from the beginning for us as we were recording the record.”

The event took place at OZ Arts in northwest Nashville. The scene was set with cosmic blue lights, FGL signature cocktails and a photo booth for attendees to commemorate the occasion. The guys used baby pictures of themselves and their friends to decorate the venue as a reminder of all of our roots, just like their upcoming project.

The reigning ACM and CMA country duo of the year continued to explain how this next album is different for them and their approach to the project with creative freedom with the ability to dive in into something that they were really passionate about.

“Album three wise we wanted to get back to our roots in terms of just doing what we want to do,” Kelley comments. “And putting out ‘Life is a Honeymoon’ that’s pretty much going full reggae, we’ve always loved reggae, so adding Ziggy Marley, doing some more collaborations, Tim McGraw, we’re huge fans of him so we wanted him on this album, once we heard ‘May We All’ it was just an obvious choice.”

Along with their new album coming out at the end of the month, the boys also plan to launch their own whiskey line this August as well, Old Camp Whiskey. The night also gave attendees a chance to try the new concoction, a sweeter whiskey with a peach and pecan taste (two flavors that are native to Florida and Georgia).

Between new music and new whiskey, it might seem like the party couldn’t get much better. But then it did. To end the night, Florida Georgia Line took the stage to give a one-of-a-kind show featuring tracks from Dig Your Roots as well as the songs that got them rooted in the country music world.

“This is a year of digging our roots, past, present and future,” Kelley sums it up best. “Laying it down, being thankful and realizing where we’re at.”

On Pandora’s second biggest station, Today’s Country , FGL is the top spinning artist, with over 3.7 million spins on this station alone this week.
