The guys of Florida Georgia Line put their skills in the kitchen to the test while visiting the set of The Chew on Friday (Sept.9).

Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard started off their visit by cooking up a storm with host Carla Hall while chatting with her about their career as a band and the experiences they’ve had as a duo. Rather than just making any random old recipe, they decided to keep with the Nashville theme by whipping up a batch of Nashville hot chicken, complete with white bread and pickles.

While Kelley munched on their newly made food masterpiece, Hubbard mentioned that their new album, Dig Your Roots, was a work of love that they spent a lot of time on because they wanted the music to mean a lot this time around.

“New album released last Friday. It’s called Dig Your Roots. It’s one of our proudest, definitely our proudest record. We’ve really worked hard on it. It feels like exactly where we’re at, who we are and our fans need to hear it,” he explained.

The guys were then challenged to a taste test game called “Florida Georgia Dine,” where they had to try some food from their native states and guess what delicacy they were eating. Guessing two out of three correct with pimento cheese spread and conch fritters, the audience went home with a free download of the duo’s new album.

Florida Georgia Line is currently on the road for their Dig Your Roots Tour with fellow artists like Cole Swindell, Kane Brown and The Cadillac Three. To check out their time on The Chew, you can start the video at minute 7:30 on the clip.
