In real life, Bebe Rexha made a name for herself thanks to her music but Florida Georgia Line helped her dream become reality for a brief second in the music video for their collaboration, “Meant to Be.”

As Rexha hitchhikes her way to a town in the middle of nowhere, she winds up as a waitress to the local diner where the guys of Florida Georgia Line frequent for some greasy grub. When the clock hits closing time, Rexha moves on to the nearby watering hole and consequently catches FGL doing their thing on the dive bar stage. Of course, the Southern gentlemen invite her to join and she happily obliges throughout the duet.

Fast-forwarding to super stardom, Rexha and the country duo cut to a live shot of them performing the pop track in front of a sold-out crowd to screams and claps. Time runs by quick though and Rexha wakes up from her sleeping thoughts to find out she only imagined the whole scenario rather than living out the rockstar life.

Florida Georgia Line teamed up with Rexha for the genre-bending collaboration, which was featured on Rexha’s mini-album, All Your Fault: Part Two. The guys also landed on Top 40 radio recently with their other partnership with Hailee Steinfeld and EDM artist Alesso called “Let Me Go.”

The pop world seems to be weighing heavy on the minds of the “Cruise” duo, especially with their Smooth Tour combining the sounds of Nelly, Chris Lane and the Backstreet Boys on the road. They also experimented with their harmonizing vocals even further during their episode of CMT Crossroads with the Backstreet Boys.

Currently, Florida Georgia Line’s own single, “Smooth,” keeps climbing the country charts on its own.
