What does an ideal summer look like for the guys of Florida Georgia Line?  Give them a tour with some Budweiser and they’ve got it made in the shade.

With a jam-packed schedule for the summer months, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley from the top-selling country duo savor those few moments where they can just chill for a hot second before getting back to work day after day. Thankfully, the two absolutely love the tour life, especially on their Dig Your Roots Tour. They kicked off the homegrown tour just last month and have been loving seeing the crowds night after night.

“We’ve been pinchin’ pennies and making sure we can put on a bigger production and make it for the fans,” Kelley told Sounds Like Nashville. “Make these moments that we want to create, make them extra special and I think it’s working. I think our fans are leaving super pumped.”

The production of the Dig Your Roots Tour definitely a statement in itself. Giving off a forest-like vibe, the set on stage plants a seed of wonder for the crowd to look into the true meaning behind their evolving sound.

“I think we’ve been trying to step up our game in terms visually speaking, production-wise in the show. We’ve got some tricks up our sleeve. We’ve got a bunch of trees to create kinda a woodsy vibe. So when you show up, it kinda grows throughout the show and we’ve also got a B-stage we’ve been workin’ with. I’m not gonna reveal the location, but that’s a pretty cool moment for us to get even closer to a different section of fans that we haven’t had access to in the past,” said Kelley.

Another added bonus to the tour this time around is the partnership between Florida Georgia Line and Budweiser. The famous beer company has sponsored the guys’ tour, which means they get to take as Hubbard calls his “summer jam” out on the road with them.

“It’s such a perfect fit for us. We’ve been drinking the product for years and honestly when I think about beer, I think about Budweiser. So it’s cool to have such an epic brand supporting us and us being able to be a part of such an epic brand that we believe in. It’s a great fit and we look forward to many years of drinking great, cold Budweiser,” said Hubbard.

Kelley agreed.

“Teaming up, we’re better together. It’s the most natural thing. The only question were asking is what took so long for us to get together and figure this out. We’ve been working, we’ve been doing it anyways, but it’s such a great fit. I think my dad’s proud too.”

Their love of the new sponsorship even goes back to the days before they made it big, Kelley revealed.

“The only thing that could take Tyler off of his cleanse years ago was a visit to the Anheuser-Busch factory. I remember I got a call and he was like, ‘I’m a little buzzed right now. We’re at the Bud place and I kinda broke my cleanse.’ He came back and he had broke his cleanse for some Budweiser.”

Jokes aside, their new song, “H.O.L.Y.,” has made quite the impact for fans. The single, which is blowing up the charts, has also received positive responses from all around for its emotional content and the guys are taking notice to the newfound connections they hone in on with their fan base through the hit.

“Honestly, it’s a song that we’re so in love with and a song we feel has so much power,” said Hubbard. “The fans are just starting to connect with it and feel the same way as it’s been released, so it’s fun to see that. It’s fun to feel that live and to hear all the things we’ve been hearing. You know the reception has been amazing.”
