A Florida man has been arrested after allegedly defrauding a victim after pretending to be Jason Aldean.

News outlet WFLA reports that Daniel Farris led the mentally handicapped person to believe he was the country music superstar. An affidavit reveals that he asked the victim to pay him $2,000, and received $230 over two different occasions. He also convinced the victim to engage in sexual intercourse with him.

According to police, the Pinellas County man posed as Jason Aldean on Facebook and acted as a friend of Aldean’s to collect the money. He allegedly told the victim that Aldean loved her, but was busy on tour and his friend needed the money.

The affidavit says the defendant had admitted to taking the money in order to pay for his prescription pill addiction.
