“Forever Country” was awarded the prize of the ACM Video of the Year Award.

All artists who participated in the vocal event as well as producer Shane McAnally and director Joseph Kahn, ascended to the stage to claim their prize.

“I have no idea why they asked me to say something on behalf of these incredible artists but as a member of the CMA board we’re so happy to celebrate country music,” Karen Fairchild said on behalf of the group. “I mean what a rich heritage we have. To Joseph Kahn you are our dream director from the very beginning. To Shane McAnally for killing that track and all those vocals. To the ACMs for continuing to honor country music. To all the fans, we love you so much.”

The ACM Video of the Year Award is presented by Xfinity and honors the artist, producer and director. This year’s nominees all created a cinematic vision for each song with their own artistic approaches and directions.

Other nominees within the ACM Video of the Year category were Chris Stapleton’s “Fire Away,” Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind,” Miranda Lambert’s “Vice” and Kelsea Ballerini’s “Peter Pan.”

The 52nd Annual ACM Awards were hosted by Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan, and celebrated right in the heart of Las Vegas.
