In the lead up to his new album, El Rio, Ballard is releasing music videos for the songs appearing on the album. This week, the crooner has released a saucy new video for “Cigarette.” In the clip, Ballard and his band are seen performing the song in a bright warehouse, with the contrast of darker shots of a stripper, a woman seen smoking at the beginning and end of the video, at work.

“I’m very proud of the work Marshall and I did on El Rio,” Ballard said of the project. “We busted our ass to be better. It’s been a spiritual journey. This album has already changed my life, and nobody’s heard it yet.”

The song was written by Chris Stapleton, Kip Moore and Jaren Johnston.

“Cigarette” is the second track on Ballard’s upcoming third studio LP, El Rio,which hits shelves June 10.
