Garth Brooks Talks New Music, Performs Single on ‘Good Morning America’

On the heels of releasing a brand new album and finishing up a year of successful tour dates across the country, Garth Brooks made a quick dent in his schedule to go hang out with the folks of Good Morning America on Friday (Oct. 28).

The country superstar talked all things music, career achievements and more when he stopped by the early morning talk show. During his visit, Brooks was giving shoutouts to his wife, Trisha Yearwood, and the country music community that have stood behind him as he reached the unprecedented seven diamond album certification accolade recently.

“We’re lucky enough to be in front of the most loyal format, the most loyal audience. That’s the country music audience. I’ll put them up against anybody. I love them. They are the bomb. They’re great,” he praised.

The Grammy Award-winning artist also gave a little insight into his 11th studio album, Gunslinger, which is set to release next month.

“It’s so fun. It’s kind of a reflection on the live show ‘cause we’ve been out there for two years now, so anytime you go into the studio, it’s gonna be high energy and high volume,” Brooks explained.

He then went on to perform his latest single, “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance,” which has been making its way up the country radio charts since its release a couple weeks ago.

Brooks is lined up to be one of the many performers at this year’s 50th Annual CMA Awards and will be joined by his wife. “Country Music’s Biggest Night” will air live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 2, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
