A 15-year-old boy who may soon never hear the voice of his favorite singer, George Strait, ever again is getting the surprise trip of a lifetime.

Chase Pair was diagnosed with a birth defect from a young age that will eventually cause the teenager to lose all of his hearing and become completely deaf. His mom, Julie, who knew he loved the iconic country singer, reached out to Strait’s team just to see if they could do anything for her son.

After not hearing anything back for several days, the Pairs had given up hope about Chase being able to see Strait perform live before his deafness took over. Then, a surprise chance came flying in and the Pairs could not believe what was happening.

The Verizon Arena got in touch with Strait’s promoter about giving the mom and son two free tickets to see the performance in Sin City. Although the Little Rock, Arkansas, family wasn’t anywhere near the Nevada city, Southwest Airlines came to the rescue as well with two roundtrip airfares to their destination, free of charge.

“A million thank you’s,” said Chase about the exciting adventure.

His mom agreed.

“Yes, a million thank you’s,” she told their local news crew.

“That is amazing.”

While the venue is still in the works of obtaining a meet-and-greet pass for the teenager, he’s still floored that he gets to experience his favorite artist live and in person.

Strait will be performing in Las Vegas for his Strait to Vegas Tour, taking place throughout 2017. Fans can find more details about the shows HERE.
