Every year, the Grand Ole Opry honors the brave men and women who sacrifice and serve the country with a special Salute the Troops show, scheduled this May.

Country music comes together as a community to show appreciation for the troops with a spectacular concert filled with surprise guests and amazing artists to give them all a good time. Artists scheduled to perform during the evening include Darius Rucker, Lee Greenwood, Trace Adkins, Kellie Pickler, Craig Morgan and more.

The concert will also allow the veterans to meet and hang out with the country singers, which creates such a strong relationship within the genre and the military affiliations.

“We owe so much to our veterans and to the families of our veterans,” said country star Morgan, who is a U.S. Army veteran himself. “We are all truly grateful for the sacrifices they make for our nation. My fellow artists and I are very excited to head to the Opry that night, shake as many family members’ hands as we can, say thank you, and offer some of our songs in salute.”

At this time, other singers yet to be announced may also make appearances to surprise the troops even more so than previously announced.

The Salute the Troops show will occur on Tuesday, May 22, with tickets for the shows on sale now.
