The love for Shania Twain is truly universal as seen in the stripped-down indie rock cover of her iconic hit, “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” by the sibling trio HAIM.

During a radio visit across the pond, HAIM proclaimed their adoration for the country legend as they set up for their cover of one of Twain’s biggest singles. The sisters gushed over how much they idolize Twain and make it a part of their dating requirements in order for a man to steal one of their hearts.

“I think that that’s one of the boxes you have to tick if you want to date any of us…is you have to be a Shania Twain fan. You heard it here first everybody,” bassist and vocalist Este Haim joked, with her sisters echoing along in the sentiment.

The group then busted out their synthesized rendition of the 90s pop-country track, giving attitude in all the right places just as Twain did many years ago on the recording. Danielle Haim even shredded on her electric guitar in between verses, making “That Don’t Impress Me Much” into a groovy yet blues-infused cover.

HAIM also recently took on the other smash single from Twain, “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” and did the country singer proud with their empowering female vocals showing off the force they have despite their laidback sound on their original collection.

“That Don’t Impress Me Much” was released on Twain’s Come On Over album in 1997. The track earned her quite the chart listings globally and remains to be one of her most popular songs to date.

Twain still loves performing her old hits, but she’s ready for a new chapter to begin with her upcoming record, NOW. The autobiographical album will come out on September 29, and features her current single called “Life’s About to Get Good.”
