Hillary Scott Hopes ‘Thy Will’ Video Will ‘Touch Some People’s Hearts’

Just days ago, Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott released the stunning video for her solo, faith-based single “Thy Will.” The clip that she hopes “will touch some people’s hearts” features Scott’s husband, Chris Tyrrell, and their nearly three-year-old daughter, Eisele Kaye.

“The whole concept is I’m going through this video, going over a little bit of time, like a few days where the days I’m kind of wandering around and having this conversation with God and really talking to him honestly about untying these knots, these knots that represent struggle and difficult things I’ve been through. I’m untying them during the day, and then nightfall comes, and I tie them all back,” she explained.

“It’s like when things get quiet, and I know for me, when I stay up too late, my mind starts wandering and it never leads to good things. It’s easy to get really kind of stuck in some negative, and that’s what this video really shows.”

Scott revealed on ABC’s Good Morning America that the song came when she was “experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage. So, it was my most raw place that I could’ve ever been when this song truly poured out of me.”

“Thy Will” is the lead single from Hillary Scott’s upcoming faith-based album Love Remains, due out July 29.
