Hudson Moore and Wife Welcome First Girl in Family in Over 100 Years

Hudson Moore and his wife Sarah have ended Moore’s family’s century-long streak of birthing boys with the addition of an adorable baby girl to the family.
Born Friday, Sept. 1, the sweet girl was named Hadley May already has her parents wrapped around her little fingers. The proud dad announced the news with a snap of him snuggling his new princess, who entered the world at 10:13 p.m., weighing 9lbs, 9oz.
“Her mama @sarahmay2 is a total rock star and we are both so in love,” Moore wrote. “I’m once again reminded of how great God is and how truly blessed we really are. Thank you ALL for your prayers and support! Happy birthday, Hadley.”

Before her impending arrival, Moore shared with Sounds Like Nashville that the prospect of becoming a dad was nerve-wracking at first, but the nine month build-up to her birth helped calm him enough to prepare.
“At first it’s shocking,” explained Moore. “The first month, you’re like, ‘Wow, is this happening?’ But I feel like the beauty of pregnancy is it gives you time to adjust and now we’re just so excited to meet her. It’s a girl and it’s the first girl in my family in over 100 years that’s been a Moore. So it’s super crazy and everybody’s super excited.”
Prior to wearing the badge of fatherhood, the singer spent much of 2016 opening for Martina McBride’s Band Against Cancer Tour and opened for Hunter Hayes over several dates in Texas. His current single, “Just Wanna Love You,” is available for purchase now.
