Break out the jukebox change because Hunter Hayes channels the doo-wop days of yesteryear in his latest release, “You Should Be Loved.”

Teaming up with Justin Timberlake’s backing vocal group, The Shadowboxers, Hayes puts a country spin on romance throughout the ode as lovers could slowly swing dance to its theatrical melody. Building up to a symphony crescendo like the lead-up to the perfect kiss, Hayes plants one right on the listener as he croons smoothly over the 50s-inspired tune.

While it’s taken a bit of time for Hayes to continually release music out to his fans, he passionately gave his all on “You Should Be Loved” and hopes folks enjoy the sweet message as much as he did creating the single.

“I am so thrilled for ‘You Should Be Loved’ to be the next song out. From the writing to the studio time to having The Shadowboxers on this song, it’s been such a pure process and labor of love for the lyric and musical side. I’m excited to have a little bit of the music I grew up around in Louisiana represented on this track and I’m so excited about having worked with my good buddy Sam Ellis on this. I hope you guys dig it,” Hayes said in a press release.

Earlier in the year, Hayes sent out “Rescue” to ease the tensions for new music desired by the fans. He also put “Yesterday’s Song” and “Amen” on their radar back in 2016, as a follow-up to his work on The 21 Project from 2015.

Hayes currently is working together with the CMA Foundation by donating $100,000 to a renovation project for the Nashville School of the Arts. The renovation will include recreating the guitar lab as well as building a brand new studio for students to learn lessons from industry professionals through future masterclass sessions.
