So far this year, weve introduced you to three of country musics hottest new acts:Jon LangstonTucker BeathardLogan Brill and Brett Young. This month, we’re introducing you to a brand new trio that’s even caught the attention of Carrie Underwood. Meet Temecula Road.

The trio, made up of sisters Maddie and Emma Salute and friend Dawson Anderson, was formed per the advice of a teacher.

We actually met through a vocal coach. When I started taking lessons, they had already been taking them for quite awhile. She was the one who said hey, I want you guys to sing together, Anderson told Sounds Like Nashville.

It wasn’t until the teens (Dawson, 16; Emma, 16; Maddie, 15) entered a songwriting competition that their destiny was decided.

We entered this songwriting competition and we were planning on writing a song as a group and then we won the competition, so that like the deciding factor…” he added.

The group has barely been together a year, but Dawson, Emma and Maddie can’t wait to see what the future will bring.

“We werent even a group a year ago and now were here and its just like What about next year? Where will we be in a year from now? Just thinking about that said Dawson.

Concluded Maddie, “That’ll make you pinch yourself.”

Watch the video above to learn more about the trio and some of the very “bad” band names they had come up with. Check back next Wednesday at 10am CT for the next installment of Introducing Temecula Road.
