The internet is brimming with trolls and people who try to claim the identity of another. Recently, someone has been acting as Jake Owen under a fake Facebook profile and sending messages and his phone number to the singer’s fans, namely women. When he learned what was happening, the Florida native decided to take a stand and contact the person himself.

Owen posted a video of his phone call to the Internet creep from what should’ve been a nice meal with friends.

“So… Excuse my language.. I’ve been fired up about this all morning,” he wrote along with the video. “There is a low life POS that has been sending messages from a fake “Jake Owen” account to females out there. I was forwarded these messages this person is sending and his phone number was attached… So.. I figured I’d call him and give him a piece of my mind.”

The unnamed suspect didn’t answer the call, but later reached out to the “American Country Love Song” singer via text message.

“As you can see, he’s a coward and would not pick up…although, he did text back after and continue to say he was me. He also asked that I not share his number… Haha… Well friends, his number is 415-691-8521… I’m not finished with these creeps. I will do everything in my power to make sure you all, my fans, are protected from these low life people. I love you guys.”

While we’re sure we haven’t heard the end of this, we’re quite sure fake-Jake Owen will be changing his phone number fairly quickly.
