Jake Owen Celebrates Magical Birthday with Daughter Pearl

A dream is a wish your heart makes, and nothing is closer to Jake Owen’s heart than his nearly five-year-old daughter Pearl. The tight-knit father-daughter duo rang in the Florida native’s 36th birthday with a special trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth, Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
In a series of photos posted to Instagram, Owen and Pearl are captured with ear-to-ear smiles as they run around the home of Mickey Mouse and even stop for a precious pose in front of Cinderella’s castle.
“I’ve had some great birthdays, but yesterday was one of the best ever. I sometimes think.. Damn. I’m getting older. Just when that thought crosses my mind, I realize how my life is only getting better day by day. This little girl Pearl is the reason I wake up every day and TRY to be the best man I can be,” wrote Owen. “Every day it’s a challenge to be the best Dad I can be to her and make sure she knows that there isn’t a song, a show, or anything that comes before her. Single Dad life isn’t what I’d planned on, but I’m so lucky that I have this little girl to constantly remind me of my purpose on this earth. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I’m also so damn blessed to have the friends and family that surround me. Life is great at 36.”
Making sure Pearl knows she always comes first has been a priority for the “Good Company” singer. The time they spend together is never lost on Owen, as many of his days are out on the road touring.
“As much as I love my job and playing music, the most satisfying, fulfilling moments in my life is when I can break away from the day-to-day grind and hustle that we do out there and just get back one-on-one with my little girl,” he previously told People. “She really adds substance to my life.”
