Jake Owen Leaves RCA Nashville, Signs With Big Loud Records
Owen joins Big Loud labelmates Chris Lane, Morgan Wallen, and Jillian Jacqueline.
After a successful run with Sony Music Nashville’s RCA Nashville, Jake Owen decided to take the leap into new bounds by signing with the independent label, Big Loud Records.
Owen announced the move on Monday (Nov. 6) that he’d take his career over to Big Loud for the next step in his path. Teaming up with Joey Moi for future projects thanks to the deal, Owen hopes to recreate the same energy from his previous work with Moi on his 2011 release, Barefoot Blue Jean Night.
“I couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter in my career with Big Loud,” Owen said about the move. “The passion for success that everyone has in the building is contagious. Combining what I already do with Big Loud’s expertise is exciting, and I am eager to get to work with Joey Moi again. We had great success in the past and I’m looking forward to what the future holds for all of us.”
Big Loud Records built up its roster with artists such as Chris Lane, Morgan Wallen, and Jillian Jacqueline. Also holding as home for songwriters like Rodney Clawson, Chris Tompkins, Sarah Buxton and founder Craig Wiseman, their reputation holds steady and strong for Owen to hop on board.
Owen’s catalogue hosts a total of six No. 1 hits, including well-loved songs like “Beachin’,” “Anywhere With You” and “American Country Love Song.” His fifth studio album, American Love, shot to the top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 4 on the Top 200 list.
Coming up in Owen’s calendar marks a Hurricane Benefit Concert with pals Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith down in Florida on November 19. Proceeds raised at the show will go back into relief aid for the affected areas destroyed by the horrific storms earlier this fall.
