James Barker Band calls Canada home, but they got to know a lot about the United States throughout their recent radio tour promoting their song, “Chills.”

The group traveled all across the country and saw sights they never could have imagined. Hailing from small towns in the Great White North, the guys were amazed with what the U.S. had to offer. A few cities in particular sparked their interest and each of them couldn’t help but gush over the places that stole their heart along the way.

James Barker, in particular, couldn’t get over how beautiful the growing city of Denver, Colorado, is and loved the “Mile High” atmosphere that the city is known for.

“One of my favorite places that I wasn’t expecting was Denver. Everybody talks about how Denver is so, like, gorgeous and I was like, ‘OK, how cool could it be?’ Like the altitude thing is really cool, it’s just a really cool city. I’d love to go back to Denver,” Barker admitted.

Barker’s bandmate, Taylor Abram, also mentioned his fascination with Kansas City, Missouri, and how much they incorporate sports and outdoor life into the downtown area. Noting the amount of restaurants they have in the Miller Park part of town, they definitely enjoyed getting acquainted with the neighborhood and eating their way around.

Another massive highlight of their radio tour happened to be all the chill dive bars they rolled up to and craft beer samples they got to taste everywhere they went. With breweries popping up all over the place, James Barker Band found that scene rather intriguing as well.

“I think one of the cool things, I guess, is going to all these different places and going to different dive bars in each state and each one had their own craft breweries. And you could just try a different beer from everywhere,” they all agreed.

James Barker Band recently released their latest single, “Chills,” to radio, which fans can stream now.
