Jana Kramer has been hard at work on new music, having recently released her first independent single, “I’ve Done Love.” But while she’s working on her own original content, the Michigan native is putting her twist on several classic songs, including Meredith Brooks’ 1997 hit “Bitch,” for a TBT cover series.

Sandwiched by two guitar players, Kramer belts out lyrics like “I’m a bitch, I’m a lover / I’m a child, I’m a mother / I’m a sinner, I’m a saint / I do not feel ashamed / I’m your hell, I’m your dream / I’m nothing in between /
You know you wouldn’t want it any other way.”

The line about being a mother hit especially close for Kramer as towards the end of her cover, she pulled out a baby monitor to check on her 20-month-old daughter Jolie. While being an involved mother to Jolie is always top priority, Kramer is doing everything she can to provide for and create a stable environment for her daughter.

“Number one is obviously being a mom and everything else I’m just trying to support my girl and strike while the iron is hot,” she told SLN.
