It was a defining week for Jana Kramer on Dancing with the Stars as she doubled up on the dance routines by taking on a waltz with her partner, Gleb Savchenko, and a team contemporary number with fellow contestant, Laurie Hernandez.

Although news swirled around that Savchenko had injured his knee, he stood by Kramer’s side as they waltzed their way around to “She Used to Be Mine,” from the musical, Waitress. Taking on the lead role, Kramer played the part of a discouraged bus girl who received a little pick-me-up from the heart of Savchenko. Her beautiful lines eased the routine in swift, flowing movements as Savchenko supported her every step of the way.

Oozing with emotion and dramatic effect, the pair received a perfect score from the judges and took home 40 out of 40 points.

Taking that spirit into her next routine, Kramer stunned alongside gymnast Hernandez as they stood up for girl power in their contemporary number to a strong Sia song. Just as their roles broke out of the cage they were trapped in, the two ladies used the force of one another and the trust they had within their bond to capture the attention of the audience throughout the commanding performance. The dance landed them another perfect score, leaving Kramer safe for the next week to come.

Fans can tune into next week’s episode of Dancing with the Stars on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
