“We’re looking forward to getting back to town, kicking things up a couple notches and hopefully raise a huge amount of money for the hospital so that they can continue to grow and serve my hometown community.”

Country superstar Jason Aldean has announced that he will return to his hometown of Macon, Georgia for his second annual Concert For The Kids. Last year’s intimate concert raised more than half a million dollars, so this year’s show, scheduled for August 11, will be expanded to the Macon Coliseum, which has over triple the seating and potential for even greater benefit.

Proceeds from the show will go toward the Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health, which serves as Bibb County’s only dedicated pediatric facility in central Georgia that enhances the lives of children through patient care, research and education.

“Supporting these kids in Macon and their families is something that I’m really proud to be a part of,” said Aldean. “We’re looking forward to getting back to town, kicking things up a couple notches and hopefully raise a huge amount of money for the hospital so that they can continue to grow and serve my hometown community.”

“We are thrilled and so very appreciative that Jason made the time to take a detour from his They Don’t Know Tour to visit Macon for the benefit of our patients at Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health,” added Ellen Terrell, Chief Development Officer for Navicent Health Foundation. “Our young patients and their families are grateful for Jason’s continued commitment to their healing and care. Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health has always relied on philanthropic support, and we are grateful to each of our donors for their commitment to Georgia’s most fragile children.”

Aldean has always proven that he will never forget his roots. In 2015, he returned to his stomping grounds to film the music video for “Gonna Know We Were Here,” which features students and scenes from his alma mater, Windsor Academy in Macon, Georgia. To honor their hometown star, plans are being proposed in Macon to rename a portion of a road to “Jason Aldean Way.”

Tickets for the Concert For The Kids go on-sale to the public beginning Friday (6/23) at 10 a.m. ET on JasonAldean.com, Ticketmaster.com and the venue box office during normal business hours.

Jason Aldean will be out on the road this year for the They Don’t Know Tour with Chris Young, Kane Brown and Dee Jay Silver.
