It was Jason Aldean’s kinda party as he performed his song, “Lights Come On,” on the 2016 CMT Music Awards.

While it may have been nighttime out on Broadway, Aldean brightened up the outdoor stage in Nashville. He rocked the famous Music City street during his performance, which featured sky-high fireworks over the top of the Southern city skyline.

The music video for “Lights Come On” highlights what it’s like to be on tour with Aldean as he sells out show after show when he’s on the road. Even he is steadily amazed by the amount of fans that show up for every tour and every show.

“I used to think it was cool to sell out a little night club, so now when I walk into an arena, amphitheater or stadium it completely exceeds anything I’ve ever imagined,” said Aldean. “That’s what I really wanted to capture with this video…that moment we step on stage and give it everything we have.”

Aldean is currently on the road this summer for his Six String Circus Tour and will play two shows at the famous Fenway Park in Boston later this fall, in which he sold out one of those concerts.
