When Jason Aldean hits the No. 1 spot, he does it three times over and celebrates the accomplishments in style with his entourage in tow.

The country superstar hosted a party for his songwriter buddies (including Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard) and the most dedicated members of his fan club to commemorate the top spot success of his singles, “Lights Come On,” “A Little More Summertime” and “Any Ol’ Barstool.” Each of the hits from Aldean’s They Don’t Know album made the highest mark on the charts, and he finally got a chance to honor the accolades in the heart of downtown Nashville at Wildhorse Saloon.

Adding his total No. 1s up to a whopping 19 in his career, Aldean admitted that the feeling of getting the top slot on radio never fades. Despite his decade of years in the industry and then some, there’s still a shine on the sparkle that is a No. 1 in Aldean’s eyes and he hopes they just keep on coming.

“I was saying earlier, it’s one of those things that never really gets old. We’ve been doing this now for 12 years, and I remember very vividly the first party like this we had and how excited I was. And it’s still exciting. Fortunately, we’re in a position now where songs kind of run up the charts a lot faster than they used to—about half the time it used to take them—and now when you’re out on the road and you’re trying to find time where everybody’s in town and can be a part of these parties, sometimes it’s tough, especially when you’ve got other artists that are writers on some of the songs and stuff,” Aldean told Sounds Like Nashville and other media in attendance.

Aldean had been banking on partying for just one single, but as the time went on and everybody’s schedules went left and right, they never got around to raising a glass (or a beer) to the prestigious occasion. But as the plethora of songwriters and industry folks settled in alongside Aldean, he graciously observed the success with great enthusiasm.

“We’ve been trying to do this for a while,” Aldean admitted. “This is the first day we could find where everybody was kinda in town and could be here. But trust me: I don’t like waiting ‘til we have three to have a party! I’m cool with having one and going and celebrating, ‘cause like I said, it’s something to me that’s still as exciting as it ever was. And I know at some point we may not be having these parties, you know? Our No. 1 streak may come to an end, but for now, I like to enjoy it whether it’s one, two, three or whatever. So I’m just glad we’re still able to throw it.”

As for the next step? Aldean has his eyes set on finishing up a record by the end of the year, in between tour dates for his They Don’t Know run featuring Kane Brown and Chris Young. Nevertheless, he aspires to be hosting another one of these No. 1 shindigs as long as the music keeps flowing out of him for years to come.

“At this point, I enjoy going in the studio, I enjoy making records and playing live. That really is it. I want to be able to go, to continue to make music and continue to play live. As long as I can do that, I feel like all that other stuff kinda falls into place—the Hall of Fame exhibit and things like that. All that stuff happens because of records and the songs doing what they do and me focusing on music. I think everything else happens because of that,” Aldean said.

Aldean is standing behind his fourth single off his most recent album called “They Don’t Know,” which is playing on country radio now.
