Although Jason Aldean got snubbed from taking home any trophies at the 2017 CMT Music Awards, he still went home a winner as he and his wife Brittany are bringing a baby boy into the world later this year.

The couple looked gorgeous while walking hand in hand down the gray carpet on Wednesday night (6/7), with Brittany showing off her mini-bump in a black-and-blue fringe mini. Calling the bun in the oven their “good luck charm” for the night, Aldean admitted they wouldn’t be jinxing their son with an extravagant name.

“Nothing crazy like a direction — East, West, North, South — none of that stuff,” he joked to Entertainment Tonight. “It will be something really cool. Both of us have names that are pretty common, Jason and Brittany, so, something that’s unique is our main goal.”

It was just a couple weeks ago when the pair announced they were expecting, quickly followed by a confetti-filled gender reveal in which Aldean and his lady popped balloons to a blue surprise surrounded by family and friends. This marks the couple’s first child together.

While this is Brittany’s first round of motherhood, Aldean is a proud father to two precious daughters from a previous marriage. But in a line of mostly women, the country singer wasn’t shy over his excitement to have another guy around the house.

“I have two, my sister’s got three, [Brittany’s] sister has got two, and so there are no boys at all. So, for this to be the first boy in the family on both sides is kind of a special thing for everybody,” he explained.

Aldean will continue touring throughout the summer months.
