The Nashville cast just keeps growing by the minute as it was just announced that Jeff Nordling from the HBO drama, Big Little Lies, will be joining the show as a recurring character.

Nordling will star as Brad Maitland, an egotistical yet successful record label owner of the most successful label in Music City. While his storyline will unfold in the new episodes of the rest of season five, some Nashies could assume he’s out to steal his competition at Highway 65 Records after the surprising loss of Rayna Jaymes.

The actor isn’t the only new face added to the cast for the continuation of season five as Rachel Bilson and Kaitlin Double Day will also establish their characters into the CMT drama series. With only Connie Britton leaving the show after her character’s death, viewers were left hanging on what will happen as a result of their grief over Jaymes’ passing.

Nashville also just announced that it would be returning early next year for a sixth season after making the transition over from ABC to its new home on CMT.

The mid-season premiere of Nashville will air on Thursday, June 1, at 9 p.m. ET on CMT.
