Jennifer Hudson to Sign On as Coach for Season 13 of ‘The Voice’

To fill the other big coaching seat, Miley Cyrus signed back to return for another season alongside the coaches.

Season 13 of NBC’s The Voice is about to find its true soul with the addition of Jennifer Hudson to the roster of coaches on the reality television singing competition show.

Although she may have gotten her start on American Idol, which has plans to reboot with ABC, Hudson will lend her extraordinary vocal talents to mentor the many contestants looking take home the prize as the winner of the NBC competition series. She’ll join the cheeky bromance of Blake Shelton and Adam Levine in those red revolving chairs for a chance to get to know the potential talent performing in front of her.

“Jennifer is an extraordinary vocal talent and one of the premier voices of our time. She embodies the experience, expertise, positivity and sheer talent that The Voice stands for. Her exceptional skills as a singer and actress have extended to film, television and Broadway, which makes her an incredible addition and a natural fit for our show,” NBC Entertainment alternative and reality group president Paul Telegdy said.

To fill the other big seat, Miley Cyrus signed back to return for another season alongside the coaches. With new music on the horizon for the pop star, she’ll bring her unique performing perspective back into the loop to create a well-rounded group of top artists to lead the way. Previously, The Voice tapped in on celebrity coaches such as Cee Lo Green, Gwen Stefani, Shakira and many more.

The new season of The Voice does not have a premiere date at this time.
