Jennifer Nettles Debuts ‘Unlove You’ on ‘The Tonight Show’

Jennifer Nettles is back with a new single, her first with her label home, Big Machine Records.

The Georgia native debuted the song, entitled “Unlove You,” Tuesday night (Nov. 24) on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

Nettles first performed the song in Nashville at CMT’s Next Women of Country luncheon held on Nov. 4.

“[The thing about the country] genre, more than any other format, is, it celebrates brokenness,” she told the crowd, explaining how she co-wrote the song with Brandy Clark. “And it takes realness in life, and it shines light through it, and it says, ‘There is beauty in all of this because it is life.’” (quote via The Boot).

Next up, Nettles will star in the NBC movie, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors. Nettles will portray the role of Parton’s mother in the movie, which will premiere on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Fans can hear “Unlove You” during Nettles’ Playing With Fire Tour and the upcoming Next Women of Country Tour. If you can’t catch her out on the road, download “Unlove You” HERE.
