Jennifer Nettles Returns To Host ‘CMA Country Christmas’
CMA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS - Some of the biggest names in music will come together to celebrate the holidays on "CMA Country Christmas," a two-hour special hosted for the fifth year by Jennifer Nettles airing MONDAY, DECEMBER 1 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Craig Sjodin)

She’s baaaack!

Jennifer Nettles is set to host the CMA Country Christmas for the sixth time this year. The two-hour special will air on ABC on Thursday, Dec. 3 (9:00-11:00 PM/ET).

“The holiday season is all about spreading joy. That’s one of my favorite things about ‘CMA Country Christmas,’” said Nettles. “The festive performances and powerful collaborations, with so many artists I admire, make this the most wonderful time of the year!”

For the first time, the special will tape at the Grand Ole Opry. “The special will tape on a new day and in a new venue this year,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “The Opry was the home of the CMA Awards for many years and it is nice to be back. And taping the show on Saturday is more convenient for Nashville families who have made this part of their holiday traditions.”

For the fourth year, audience members are being encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the taping to help make the holidays brighter for Nashville area children.

“Our artist community is extremely generous and so are our fans,” said Trahern. “It is our goal to make sure no child goes without a present this Christmas and we are grateful to our network partner ABC and Toys for Tots for helping to make this dream come true for children everywhere.”

CMA Country Christmas will tape in front of a live audience on Saturday, Nov. 7 (6:00 PM/CT; doors open at 5:00 PM/CT). The special will tape three days after the 49th Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
