Joey Floyd, Longtime Toby Keith Band Member, Dies

Toby Keith is mourning the loss of Joey Floyd, a longtime member of his Easy Money Band. The singer took to Facebook to share the news of Floyd’s passing with fans on Sunday.

Our dear friend and band member Joey Floyd passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer,” Keith wrote. “There will be a hole on stage and a hole in the hearts of all that loved him. Rest in peace ol’ friend.”

Floyd was a native of the Fort Worth, Texas area and played fiddle and banjo in the Easy Money Band for many years. He was 54 years old and is survived by his wife, Laurin.
