Joey + Rory Celebrate Career Milestone

Joey + Rory are celebrating a huge career milestone this week.

The duo earned their first-ever No.1 album on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Top Christian Albums charts with their new inspirational release, Hymns. The album moved 68,000 units (70,000 including streaming and track equivalent albums), which also gave them their first Top 10 album on the Billboard 200 and their best sales week ever.

In a recent blog post, Rory shared what the album sales mean to their family. “Our manager Aaron called us yesterday morning and told us that lots of folks have been buying our new Hymns album and that stores across the country have had a hard time keeping them in stock since they went on sale earlier this week.  I put it on speaker phone so Joey could listen and hear the wonderful news and say hi to Aaron.  When we hung up, Joey and I sat there holding hands… knowing that in time those sales could turn into some income for our family and that could really help, now that there are no more concerts or income from shows.”

He continued, “We talked about what a blessing it was, and then she looked at me very seriously and said, ‘I need you to do something for me…’  I told her I would be glad to.  Then with all the sincerity in the world, she said, ‘I need you to be generous… God has blessed us so much.  We need to bless others.’”

We have no doubt Rory will fulfill his wife’s request.

It’s been quite the month for the Feeks so far. After an “incredible Valentine’s Day evening,” the couple celebrated their GRAMMY nomination a day later. That same week, they hosted a party to celebrate their daughter’s second birthday.

“Thank you Lord that we were able to all be together for this special day, for this special week,” Rory wrote after Indiana’s birthday party. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
