Starting from the bottom and making his way up the ladder, Jon Pardi came out victorious as the New Artist of the Year winner at the 51st Annual CMA Awards.

Throughout the past year in his career, Pardi made a whirlwind climb to the top with the release of California Sunrise and singles like “Heartache on the Dance Floor” and “Dirt On My Boots” out to his fans as well as hosting his own headlining Lucky Tonight Tour. Excited to land his first-ever CMA Award, Pardi could not contain his ecstatic reaction over the meteoric win.

“Wow! Thank you all my friends and all nominees. You guys are awesome. Thank you all my managers, Capitol Records, Colin from CAA and all my friends and family from back home who watched my play in backyards and little hometown dive bars and fairs when I was still in high school and everything. Thank you everybody and here’s to a great night in country music,” Pardi exclaimed while holding up his trophy in happiness.

The other new faces nominated within the category included Luke Combs, Lauren Alaina, Old Dominion and Brett Young.

The 51st Annual CMA Awards are hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood for the 10th year in a row. See all of the awards and accolades handed out at tonight’s show by checking out posts HERE.
