Jon Pardi Longs for Lost Love in Picturesque ‘She Ain’t In It’ Video

Inspired by an old Paul Newman flick, the entire video pays tribute to the glamour of vintage Hollywood with a black-and-white noir look during the filming.

It was the cinematic look of an old-fashioned flick that Jon Pardi leaned on as inspiration for his visually stunning music video for “She Ain’t In It.”

Heading out to the open country in California, Pardi reminisces on a former flame that he hopes to avoid at all costs despite still finding feelings deep in his heart for her. Flashing back to the good times dancing under twinkle lights and riding horses off into the sunset, the black-and-white film effect of the treatment ups the romance factor that made even Pardi a little teary-eyed during the making.

“The treatment almost reminded me of the movie Hud, starring Paul Newman,” Pardi said to Entertainment Tonight. “I loved that it was entirely in black and white, and a mini-movie. This is definitely the most cinematic video to date and leans toward the emotion behind the song and the nostalgia of long-lost love.”

Smashing a bottle of booze like smashing a piece of the past, Pardi ends it by carrying on with his farmhand duties despite his woes hanging onto his shoulders thinking about what could have been.

“She Ain’t In It” marks the California native’s fourth single off his album, California Sunrise, following up the success of No. 1 hits including “Dirt on my Boots,” “Head Over Boots” and “Heartache on the Dance Floor.” Fans anxiously await Pardi’s next move in the studio, and hope for new music sometime in the next coming year within the balance of his hectic tour schedule.

Fans can hear Pardi sing “She Ain’t In It” and many more of his hits while he travels with Luke Bryan for the What Makes You Country Tour this summer. Dates and ticketing information can be found on Pardi’s website.
