Justin Moore Calls Arkansas Home

Home is always where the heart is. Even though Justin Moore tried his hand at making Nashville his home, his heart was always longing for his native Arkansas.

“I grew up in a little small town about 300 people in central Arkansas, just south of Little Rock. Moved to Nashville, Tennessee in ’02 and lived there for almost ten years and then my wife and I have three daughters: five, three and one. That was one of the reasons we decided to move back home, to have a little help from Grandma and Grandpa,” Moore explained about their decision to move back home.

He doesn’t plan on leaving anytime soon, either. He said he and his wife just recently bought some land that Moore grew up on. They’ve decided they want to build a house there on the dirt in which he was raised upon.

With his new single, “You Look Like I Need A Drink,” Moore goes back and forth between Arkansas and various cities to promote his music and visit radio stations. Recently, he stopped by Tootsie’s in Nashville and surprised fans with an impromptu performance. In the end, the reward of always coming back home is always worth it in his eyes.

“It’s very important for me to make people proud that are around me, my family and friends. But, I have a lot of pride, and also being from Arkansas, and so it’s fun to be back.”
