Justin Moore Celebrates ‘You Look Like I Need A Drink’ in Nashville

“This one is really cool because this one is kind of a comeback from a bit of a departure from not only radio, we went a year I think without a new single or close to it,” said Moore.

It’s been ten years since Justin Moore first hit the country music scene and since then, the singer has notched six chart-topping hits, including his most recent chart-topper, “You Look Like I Need A Drink.” The Arkansas native celebrated the success of the song during an event held at Nashville’s SOUTH, where he recalled his uncertainty over whether or not he’d earn another such accolade.

“This one is really cool because this one is kind of a comeback from a bit of a departure from not only radio, we went a year I think without a new single or close to it,” said Moore of the song penned by Natalie Hemby, Rodney Clawson and Matt Dragstrem during a press conference ahead of the celebration. “You know, you like to think that if you take a little bit of time off that people wouldn’t forget about you and move right along to the next guy, but you also like to think that the relationships you made with radio were valid ones and genuine and would last through a break like we took and the fact that this song was such a big record, I think, solidifies those thoughts.”

“It’s really special for me to get back on radio, and especially to kick off a new album that we took three years to put out. The fact that we took the extended break and came back out of the gate with a big No.1 record is really, really special,” he added.

Since topping the charts, Moore has moved on to his next single from Kinda Don’t Care, “Somebody Else Will.” Both songs will likely appear in Moore’s set during his co-headlining American Made Tour with Lee Brice and special guest Brett Young, which was recently extended with additional dates through the spring.
