Justin Moore Praises Poyen, AR Fire Department After Pasture Catches on Fire
Justin Moore is praising the Poyen, AR fire department after the team helped put out an unexpected fire in his pasture.
Justin Moore is praising the Poyen, Arkansas fire department after teams responded to an unexpected flare up on his property on April 24. In a series of tweets posted by the singer, Moore chronicled what happened to his precious property.
“So, this happened today in my pasture. Not on purpose, might I add. Thnx to Poyen vol FD, ended w/o a disaster,” he wrote with a photograph of his farm in flames.
Thankfully, the fire department was able to shut down the fire before it caused any real damage or injuries. The singer never revealed the source of the fire, but did confirm that it was out with a snap of a company wetting the ground to prevent it from rekindling.
The fire likely happened on or near the property Moore and his wife Kate have been building their dream home on. The piece of land was once owned by his great-great-grandfather.
“It’s been in our family since the late 1800s, so it ain’t no sellin’ it,” Moore explained (quote via The Boot). “You don’t go build a nice house in a town of 300 people and expect to be able to get a return on your investment. That ain’t gonna happen. So, we’re gonna be there forever.”
While the fire situation has settled, the Moore family is busy preparing for their fourth child, due this summer.
