Justin Moore is quite the road warrior. The singer, who is gearing up to release his fourth studio album, Kinda Don’t Careon August 12, is currently out on the road with Brantley Gilbert and his previously headlined several of his own tours.

In the past, his Arkansas-based family would pack up and hit the road with him, but now that his oldest daughter, Ella, is in kindergarten, his wife and kids aren’t able to make it out to quite as many shows. As a result, Justin his wife Kate came up with a few rules about how long they can go without seeing each other.

“Yeah and we typically don’t break ‘em,” Moore explains. “I mean, every now and then you’re forced to because of certain situations. But, I try not to be gone any longer than four or five days without seeing the girls.”

If a situation pops up that forces him to break the rules, he does everything he can to bring the girls to him. For him, God and family come before anything else, even his career.

“I think it’s as simple as prioritizing. There was a time in my career where I didn’t have the right priorities at the top,” he admits, but he’s come to realize what matters most.

“Putting God and them first. Music is third. It’s not as important as some of the other things are.”

Justin and Kate have been married since 2007 and are parents to three adorable little girls, Ella, Kennedy, and Rebecca.
