Justin Moore Turns Down Movie Role

Everyone knows Justin Moore as a country singer, but what people may not know is that he’s got another talented side to him as well…even if he doesn’t believe so himself.

After spending a lot of time working on music videos for his single, Moore has gotten a lot of camera time in his career and it has some industry people wondering if he would ever consider taking on an acting role in the future. While the opportunity has arisen for the country star, he admits he doesn’t think he’s got a knack for the scripts and bright lights of Hollywood at the moment.

“You know, I don’t have any aspirations right now of acting,” Moore explained. “Matter of fact, I just got offered a role in a movie. And turned it down just because, you know, I have so many things going on right now as it is with the kids and with what I have going on in my career that I just don’t have any time to do anything else. If I were to stop playing music for a year or something, maybe I would develop a want-to to give that a whirl, but I really don’t enjoy being in front of the camera, to be quite honest with ya. I’ve acted a lot in my videos and everybody always goes, ‘Man, we need you to play that role. I mean you’re really good at it.’ I think it’s the label trying to save money and not hire actors. But I don’t know, I’m just not intrigued by it as of right now.”

While the singer could get inspired one day and change his mind, it seems Moore just wants to focus on the things that matter most to him right now: music and family. His song, “You Look Like I Need a Drink,” is currently playing on country radio and keeps climbing up the charts week after week.
