Get ready for blast off with Kacey Musgraves as she shoots for the stars during her television debut performance of “Space Cowboy” during a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

All jazzed up in a silver Juicy Couture rhinestone jumpsuit, Musgraves captivated the late night audience with her coming-of-age track creating a celestial feeling. Not only did the singer follow hair inspiration from a powerhouse like Cher, but also matched her singing abilities throughout the drifting lullaby.

Her bandmates played beautifully behind her, all clad in matching periwinkle ensembles channeling the vintage days of the 70s. The audience cheered Musgraves and the crew on once they reached the climactic end chorus as she cooed over the slow song.

Musgraves sent “Space Cowboy” as well as an additional track called “Butterflies” out to fans on Friday morning (2/23) to tease what’s ahead for her latest project. For the Texas native, “Space Cowboy” really left a soft spot in her heart and resembled her life moving forward after finding love and following through in her sound.

“It’s a look into where I’ve been, and where I am now. I like that it’s very sparse. And it’s just about making peace with a door closing in your life. I feel like everyone can relate to that. When you’re just like, ‘I don’t understand this. It hurts right now.’ But it allows something better to come in,” Musgraves said during an interview with CMT.

Her third record, Golden Hour, comes out on March 30. Fans of Musgraves can pre-order the album before it arrives by clicking through HERE.
