Kane Brown and his Fiancée are Planning a Small, Intimate Wedding

Kane Brown certainly has a lot on his plate. The budding country superstar recently learned that his collaboration with Lauren Alaina, “What Ifs,” has been certified platinum and he’ll soon release a deluxe version of his self-titled debut album, all while working to flight bullying and the rental housing crisis. On top of it all, the singer is gearing up for one of the biggest life changes of all… marriage.

Brown proposed to girlfriend Katelyn Jae in April and since then, their wedding plans are coming along thanks to Jae’s planning.

“I don’t really have any input because I’m the type of person … I put my tux on [and] as long as you’re in front of me, I don’t care what’s there. I let her do it,” Brown shared with Taste of Country Nights recently.

As for the size of the wedding, the Georgia native hopes to keep it small with only the most important people in tow.

“I don’t have so many friends … I have my friends that I know have been there for me, and then I’ve got some new friends that I’ve made, artist-wise,” he said.

Though he admits he doesn’t have many friends, Brown explained that his wife-to-be has been a constant support since they met through a mutual friend more than two years ago. Though shy at first, she eventually opened up and became the love of his life.

“She came to one of my shows and the first time I saw her it was the shy giddiness. I didn’t know what was going to happen,” he recalled. “She lived in Orlando [and] was in Miami. I messaged her on Instagram the next night and said, ‘Hey, when are we going to hang out?’ and flew her down and she hasn’t left since.”

The couple went on to get engaged after Brown popped the question over Easter weekend. He finally announced the big news a couple weeks later during a show in Philadelphia, Jae’s hometown.

A date of the wedding and location for their honeymoon has yet to be revealed.
