Seeking refuge from the uncertainty of love in nature’s beauty, Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina join forces at the cliff’s edge in the music video for their duet, “What Ifs.”

As Brown ventures through the brush of the forest to reach the end of the path with an ocean view, Alaina follows suit by journeying past the tall trees to discover her duet partner and a gorgeous overlook on the Northern California coast. Looking ethereal in a flowy maxi gown, Alaina lights the way with her equally stunning harmonies aligned with Brown’s deep bass vocal.

Meeting face-to-face along the treacherous coastline, the two battle out the song’s idea of possibility within a relationship as they emotionally build the track up to its passionate potential. Working together as friends in the video, as well as on the single, showed flawless chemistry between the two, in which Alaina has always picked up on from their good ol’ Georgia days.

“So I grew up with Kane Brown. I’ve known him since we were kids, we went to school together. Actually I was the first person to hear him sing because we were in chorus class and I kinda heard him humming and he never sang in class he’s very shy. I think he’s come a really long way with that but when we were kids he was shy,” Alaina previously explained in an interview.

“What Ifs” is Brown’s current radio hit and comes off of his debut self-titled album, which is available now.
