It may be raining in Music City, but the skies were bright and blue in the Big Apple Tuesday morning (Feb. 7) as Keith Urban made his way to the TODAY Show to perform his most recent No.1 single, “Blue Ain’t Your Color.” Per the request of co-hosts Al Roker and Sheinelle Jones, the singer picked up a guitar he just happened “to have handy” and strummed along to the waltzy-tune.

Prior to his impromptu performance, the singer dished on his upcoming appearance with Carrie Underwood scheduled for this weekend’s GRAMMY Awards.

“We’re going to do a new single coming out called ‘The Fighter,'” he spilled. “We got a video coming out soon and the performance on Sunday night.”

Urban also played a round of “Country Confessions” with the hosts and revealed such things as the strangest thing he’s ever signed.

Check out Urban’s appearance on the TODAY Show with the videos above and below and be sure to catch him this Sunday on the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards where he’ll perform his new single “The Fighter,” featuring Carrie Underwood. He is currently nominated for three GRAMMYs, including Best Country Album for Ripcord and two nominations for “Blue Ain’t Your Color.”
